The Music Program at RUMC is growing . We endeavor to bring our congregation closer to God as we create a channel of beauty through our music. We are involved in many events and programs, which include:
1. We sing most Sunday Morning during the 11 AM Worship Service.
2. We add Brass and Woodwinds in the service. Everyone is welcome to share their instrumental talents as well as their vocal talents.
3. We preprare a Christmns Cantata with a visual representation of the birth of the infant Jesus.
4. The congregation is presented with many duets and solos from our church choir members.
5. Each year we present a program entitled “Music on Fort Hill” . For this event, we invite an artist or
Group to present a program to the community,
6. We visit our Nursing Home every three months to bring special hymns and music to the residents.
7. Each year during the Christmas Season, we dress in Victorian Christmas Costumes to participate in
Christmas Community Festivities.
8. Some of Our choir members participate in Western Carolina Community Chorus each year as well. This group meets at WCU and presents two concerts per year.
